Pedro Cubiles is a journalist and photographer born in The Canary Islands, Spain. He studied Art, Design and Media, in England, and has got a wide experience in the field of documentaries.

Isidoro, Isi for his friends, is a man full of passions. His interest in the mountain is nearly innate, probably because he spent most of his childhood playing between walking trails and gorges. The sea is another of his passions. There is nothing he enjoys more than the silence of sails and the sea bottom in every of his dives.

He also enjoys cinema and music, and thanks to that passion for big screen stories Jurria: The Guardians of the Pole was born.

This is his first film as an independent producer in which he has shown the evolution of this activity born of the sheepherding Canarii culture.
